This Oscar-nominated animation just hit the web (it was originally released as part of Wreck-It Ralph).  It was nominated for an Oscar because of its innovative combination of hand-drawing and computer animation.  It's gorgeous, and as the linked article says, may well be a peek at the future of animation...

Here's a rare treat: a rich, gorgeous animation about the interplay between the Fibonacci Sequence and nature.  It even comes with an excellent explanatory page, aimed at a non-scientist audience.  Oh, I'd love to see more like this!

Animusic

I’ve never seen anything like this — animated music, called “Animusic” by the author. It’s synthesized music, with choreographed animations of synthesized performers. But my words will never do this justice; visit the site and watch some of the sample clips.

And even though I can’t adequately describe it, I know I like it! I’m going to have to get me a set of the DVDs…
