Mochi kills!

Mochi kills!  This is definitely in the WTF department.  Debbie and I have often enjoyed mochi ice cream – little scoops of ice cream encased in a glutinous rice flour dough.  It turns out that solid mochi cakes, made of just the sticky rice flour dough, are a traditional Japanese treat eaten mainly in January.  Every year, some people die from eating them – from choking, and they're difficult to dislodge.

We'll be more careful next time we have mochi ice cream...
