Sarah Palin Mashup...

The photos in this video slide show reinforce my impression from reading about Sarah Palin and her family: they truly seem to be people imbued with traditional American ideals, experiences, and accomplishments, thrust into a political world full of very different animals. They seem to have an ordinary American's common sense; they've faced the same kinds of problems we all have. They are not only a family full of people I can identify with; they are people I can admire.

In the other three top-of-the-ticket candidates we have an Ivy-league elitist with a suspicious background (especially ties to the Chicago political machine and to unapologetic American radical terrorists), a genuine American war hero of towering ego and questionable intellect, and a traditional glad-handing, plastic-smiling politician with a runaway mouth and little actual achievement. None of these are people I can easily identify with. None of these are people I admire, or aspire to be like. None of these are people I'd hang with.

Sarah and Todd Palin? It's easy to imagine having them over for dinner...

  1. SL... You're a computer scientist. Could you really have VP nominee Palin and her DUI fisherman husband over for dinner knowing she wants creationism taught in science class? Creationism? What a twit. Would the tooth fairy suffice? I would like to think that someone with your intelligence would think again about your words, as I truly hope you are not serious. Besides, what would you talk about? The latest C compiler provided by the Lord? Registry hacks for Focus on the Family? Heh heh…

Regarding Palin’s ability to govern and manage the country (should anything happen to McCain), let’s take a look at a few of her most recent decisions. How about she starts demonstrating how to manage her family? Apparently she has an out of control daughter that is already pregnant at the age of 17. Of course the religious right will spin this into a positive and she’ll be the walking poster child for the “pro life” movement, when in reality she and mom should be on the poster for the dysfunctional families of America movement. So apparently “governing” her family is not one of her fortes. Then “Mom Palin” had a McCain “senior moment”, and decided to try and have a normal child after the age of forty. What was the net result? It was another poster child for the religious right’s “right to life” movement---a “down syndrome” baby. I’m truly sorry for her and her child, but now we know she has “McCain Judgment” and she puts her selfish wants for another child over common scientific and medical sense. But that’s to be expected I guess. The Lord is her scientist and McCain her mentor.

Personally, I find it impossible to give credibility to ANYONE that has such a pinhead view of reality, the cosmos, why we are here, and where we are going. In essence, there's no place for the "tooth fairy" in the big picture of our existence, or running our country. And I truly fear for our country if Palin is but a few irregular heart beats away from the presidency. SL---need I remind you of McCain's age??? All I can say is; McCain’s pandering to the woman's vote hoping all he had to do to get 18 million disgruntled Clinton female voters was by "changing skirts", and his first pre-presidential decision in selecting a running mate, ranks right up there with his vote for the war---Fail. Yeah, he's got more experience all right---the kind we don't need. But then again, I can understand where you are coming from. You are exemplary of the "right"... spinning anything you can into justification for the rights cause---but it's the new “NEO-CON” right's cause I find so disturbing and they are damaging America WAY MORE than the perceived threat from the Islamic fundamentalists. (I hope you are not one of them---Neo Con that is! Ha!).

In essence, after 9/11, we’ve handed the Islamic Terrorists you so fear, the power to destroy our Constitution without them even firing a single shot. We are so terrified we will sacrifice any and all freedoms in our lust for security. Ah yes! The Patriot Act! It must be good with a name like that! And thusly, as Benjamin Franklin so eloquently said; “any peoples that will give up even a single freedom in the name of security deserve neither freedom OR security”.

So why did we (and the corporate right-wing controlled media---yeah that’s what I said) elevate a bunch of religious fanatic criminals to the status of making war on America? Ask the military industrial complex. We NEED war. It is VERY profitable. (Even though it diminishes the attack at Pearl Harbor now doesn’t it?) It embarrasses me when I realize that America handed nineteen criminal religious whackos the powerful title of launching WAR on America. But like I said, it was, and is, extremely profitable for us to bestow upon them that title.

Most American’s don't give this much thought in their daily lives as they are blinded by all the flag waving and TV propaganda, but I'll tell you this, and it’s quite disturbing; I find that there are just a wee bit too much American flag waving going on all over the place, too many chants of USA! USA! USA! from the sports stadium crowds, too many F-16's flying over our football games at half-time, too much praise for our troops at the seventh inning Padres baseball game "stretch", and just a little too much super nationalism---and it's all rolled up nicely in the flag of a corporate controlled government. I mean really, I came to watch a baseball game and get my mind OFF all the crap going on and now they want me to stand and sing America the Beautiful and salute our brave troops in the right field bleachers. I seem to recall a lot of this going on back in 1939 Germany. There were lots of flags flying then… Poland and Czechoslovakia didn’t care much for that. In fact, wasn’t’ it on this very date that Hitler rolled into Poland 60 some years ago?

And while I'm on the subject, there is a name for all of this nonsense---and our corporate controlled government---and that name is Fascism. (For those that don't have a clue---look it up) ...And while I'm touching on the new fascism and the "militarization of our society”, what's up with that guy that whispers those creepy Lockheed Martin TV commercials and his query of the word "how"? I mean really---what's the secret? Well, I have an opinion what it is; You see, you can't buy any Lockheed Martin products off the shelves in any store that I know of... so what is Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Raytheon and their ilk getting for their millions upon millions of dollars in TV advertising? I'll tell you what they get. They are getting favorable news reporting on the WAR, and ANY, and ALL of their military industrial causes. Think about it. When there is a military industry, that industry needs to profit, and peace is simply NOT in their business plan. I think that must be what he is talking about when he says how. How---by making war---that’s how.

Most American's don't realize it, but when they wake up in the morning, they wake up in the new fascist controlled corporate police state that is unfortunately still called---you guessed it---America.

Seems to me there’s something in the U.S. Constitution about RFID's and our right to privacy. Oh well, I’m not doing anything wrong---what do I have to worry about?
