Quote of the Day...

From Mike Huckabee:
"Sarah Palin got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president."

  2. From large issues to small lies, it would be hard to detail all of them. Some of them were laughable, like Mitt Romney blaming the eight years of the Bush Administration on "liberals." And some were trivial, like Mike Huckabee saying that Sarah Palin got more votes in her first run for mayor of a town of 7,000 than the 84,000 votes Joe Biden got in his Presidential run.

  3. I thought Biden got roughly 79,000 votes, actually. Personally, I never imagined that Huckabee was trying to say something he believed was literally true, but rather just to make a point about the Democratic poo-pooing of Biden's experience as mayor.

And if you think about the numbers a different way, though one more complicated to talk about, you can make the same point more accurately. Sarah Palin won her small town election with a very high percentage of the vote. Biden lost his presidential bid with a tiny percentage of the vote...
