Eagle nebula

...from the Astronomy Picture of the Day:

Newborn stars are forming in the Eagle Nebula. This image, taken with the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995, shows evaporating gaseous globules (EGGs) emerging from pillars of molecular hydrogen gas and dust. The giant pillars are light years in length and are so dense that interior gas contracts gravitationally to form stars. At each pillars' end, the intense radiation of bright young stars causes low density material to boil away, leaving stellar nurseries of dense EGGs exposed. The Eagle Nebula, associated with the open star cluster M16, lies about 7000 light years away.

I agree with the previous comment! Just a little joke to make you think and then I will explain why I agree with the previous comment… *** One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him. The scientist walked up to God and said, “God, we’ve decided that we no longer need you. We’re to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don’t you just go on and get lost.” God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the scientist was done talking, God said, “Very well, how about this? Let’s say we have a man-making contest.” To which the scientist replied, “Okay, great!” But God added, “Now, we’re going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam.” The scientist said, “Sure, no problem” and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt. God looked at him and said, “No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"If our scientist are so smart and great, why aren’t they able to create a blade of grass??? or how about a grain of sand or a speck of dust??? GOD IS THE GREAT ALL MIGHTY… It definately does show the greatness of God except I honestly believe that this photo IS GOD! Think a little about where and what GOD is made of… Everything, including nebulas, solar systems, universes… absolutely everything! If we think that an atom is so small, does that make us large? Are we large compared to the earth, moon, the sun? NO WAY.. We are tiny! If the picture of this nebula is GODS fingers, how small are we? If we are made in the image of GOD, it dosn’t mean that we should be large enough to see him completely.. Can you look inside of your body and see a molocule inside of your liver, lungs or heart? Nope… GOD is that huge! Our whole solar system and the milky way universe may only be the iris of GODS eye or one of his teeth.. The stars may be his atoms and we may be his molocules.. Just think about it… That’s all I ask…
