Paradise ponders... The building inspector was here this morning, and signed off on the work so far. He also did the final inspection (about a year late!) on our shed. It was actually a lot of fun to walk the inspector through – he was fascinated with all sorts of stuff, and kept making envious sounds and exclaiming things like “Wow! That’s really cool!” :) He seemed to especially like my electric hoist, that works though a hatch between the first and second floors of the shed.
The path is now clear for running the heating duct to the mud room, insulating the floor of the mud room and sun room, and installing the sub-flooring. Once the mud room's sub-floor is in place, we could actually start using our front door again. All we'd need is some sort of temporary stairway...
