Some days I feel quite hopeful about the future of the human race ... but today is not one of those days...

Paying over $10,000 for a 40 foot long cable is bad enough.  Dropping that sort of dough on a cable that is cannot possibly be ANY better than the cheapest piece of junk is even worse!  Doing so without doing the most basic investigation ... that's what makes me pessimistic about the future of the human race.

How can I be so sure this cable is worthless?  Well, it's a digital cable transferring signals that are insensitive to either noise or timing issues (because the decoders universally buffer).  If you're at all technical, that's enough to call BS on the cable right there.  If that's gobbledegook to you, here's a simple way to think about it: it's like paying $10,000 for a water cup, and one that claims it holds water better than a dime store plastic cup.  It doesn't, and it's obvious to anyone.

The marketing text is enough to make me retch:
All audio cables are directional. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. Arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality. For best results have the arrow pointing in the direction of the flow of music. For example, NAS to Router, Router to Network Player.
That's hogwash and twaddle of the first order...
