It’s take-your-breath-away hot out here. Easily hot enough to fry an egg on your car fender. Hot in the shade. Hot even with a breeze — even with just 3% relative humidity.
It’s hot!
We had one five-minute period that was 112F — which is two degrees hotter than the previous five-minute high I’ve recorded in my weather station (which has been running for five years now).
The puppy woke us at 3:30 AM this morning, and when I took it out for a walk I was amazed at how warm it felt. I looked at the weather station, and it was 86F — really, really weird for us in the pre-dawn morning. I knew right then it would be hot today.
It’s hot!
