Branden Dallo Killed...

In an accident that may have been alcohol-related, 21 year old Branden Dallo was killed yesterday in a single car accident off Jamul Drive:
A 21-year-old man was killed and his passenger was injured early Friday when their car went off a winding, rural road in Jamul, authorities said.

Branden Dallo was driving a Porsche south on Jamul Drive when he lost control of the car and veered off the shoulder east of Tuk-A-Wile Drive about 2:15 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings said.

The Porsche went down a grassy slope and hit several trees and a boulder, Pennings said.

Dallo died in the wreck. His passenger, McKenzie Hillman, 18, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Pennings said.

Pennings said there was evidence that Dallo may have been under the influence of alcohol.
One small consolation: Ms. Hillman is ok.

Many readers have written to let me know that Branden was the younger brother of Johnny Dallo.

Our sympathy to the family and friends of Branden.

  1. Great job…. linking his brother's situation to his own tragic circumstances, that’s really classy.
Maybe what you should do is raise awareness about reckless driving in general. As opposed to speculating whether or not his passing was "alcohol-related."
    You’re special kind of faggot.

  3. "You're a special kind of faggot."

I'd say that commenter was a special kind of idiot! Doesn't he realize that the blogger simply copied a newspaper article, which is quoting the POLICE?

No brains, no class, and no business being anywhere near a keyboard.

Color me disgusted with (some of) my fellow Jamulians!

  4. After reading all those entries this blogger posted regarding Branden's older brother, I am quite shocked this entry was as short as it was.

    R.I.P B.Dallo we miss you :(

  9. Sounds like the Dallo family learned nothing from Johnnys accident

  10. Lets look at the facts. Two kids from the same family driving high performance vehicles that neither could handle. One results in the death of an innocent mother, the other results in the death of himself. While I truly feel for the family in BOTH cases, it is time for the parents to use some introspection to realize what is going on here. "Raising awareness of reckless driving in general" does no good if you are the one that is not listening!

    1. It wasn't his girlfriend, just a co-worker that attended the company Christmas party. I was supposed to be there that night at the party but quit my job the day before and decided it would be tacky to still go. Branden and I were romantically involved prior to his passing (unknown to everyone else we worked with) and I always think about how that very well could've been me in that car had I not quit and decided not to go. Branden was very charismatic and would light up the room as soon as he walked in. His passing was was shocking and tragic.

  16. As this blog progesses each will see that Branden was the most special person. He was loved by everyone that he came across. He was charismatic, loving, charming, hard working, and no matter how bad of day you had, he would put a smile on your face. We love you Brando and May God and you be happy together in heaven. We know that you will be an angel for all of us. Stay smiling, we love you.

  18. People who are talking bad about him are haters. They can't handle the fact that branden was a successful man at the age of 21. Yeah, he had a Porsche. A man who worked his butt off all day every day since he was little, working more than 65 hours a WEEK, can reward himself with something because he deserved it. Jealousy weakens the mind. I'm assuming that to all the low life negative Bloggers on this site, can't even work more than 10 hours 7 days a week...get a clue! Branden was funny, handsome, hard working, lovable man who deserves some respect for his passing... I love you Dallo, your girl has your back boo.

  19. Branden Dallo was one of the most impressive young people I have met in a long time. He was smart, friendly, competent, focused, and had a huge heart. I have rarely met a more hard-working 21-year-old. He was respected and loved by those who knew him and worked with him. I will miss him so much - a great light.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I am sure he was a great young man, but we all have to realize the dangers of getting behind the wheel after a night of drinking. I thank god that the young woman with him is going to survive.

  21. Leave Branden out of his brother's story from the past. People need to stop being selfish and recognize that whatever happen is devistating. The Dallo Family is so kind hearted as was dearest Branden. Branden is missed by everyone, even people who didnt know him. He touched many lives. He was a handsome gentlemen. Branden was a good guy, a really wise guy. My heart goes out to the Dallo Family, may God be with you and guide you through the tough times. God Bless

  22. I don't see how Branden's tragedy relates to his brothers incident at all...Branden was the brightest most loving guy. He always had that charming smile on his face. He should be remembered for the guy he was. He died so young and his death was very shocking and unexpected. I do not know of one person who has something bad to say about Branden...he had a wonderful heart and a great personality. Branden is ONE OF A KIND and will NEVER be forgotten. May you Rest In Peace Branden, you are in a much better place now. May God watch over your family through these tough times and always...we shall meet again someday!!!

  23. Although I know that comments towards the bloggers who bring nothing but negativity to this world are a waste of time, I still fell inclined to tell you that you are a pathetic group of individuals who need to find something better to do than bring yourself up by bringing others down. The Dallo family has done a tremendous amount of good for their community and have raised a family of kind hearted and loving souls, Branden having been no exception.

To compare the misfortunes of his older brother to this tragic loss is petty and unnecessary during such an incredibly sensitive time. However, at the end of the day one can only hope that this tragedy can shed light on the truth and dangers of reckless driving.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Dallo family, one can only imagine the pain a mother feels when outliving her child. Branden Dallo you are truly an amazing individual who is loved and missed by many. The hundreds of cars lined outside your home right now is one small example of just how much this loss has affected our community. Rest In Peace knowing that your smile and warmth will be remembered forever.

  24. It's about respect. Think about if your child, or nephew, or brother died under tragic circumstances. Just the fact that they are gone, is enough. Heartbreaking.

But then to go on the internet and see that a bunch of idiots who apparently have no life are talking out of their asses and speculating about the circumstances, well, you must be God then if you know everything. And you apparently have never had anything bad happen to you, because then you would know to shut your mouth. I hope that all the good things written about Branden, will swallow up any of these idiot comments.

Respect. I dearly feel for the family and especially his mother who despite having all the money in the world, has had quite a few terrible things happen to her. I didn't know Branden. But he was a stand-up young man in the community. A tragedy that we have lost an amazing soul. R.I.P. Branden.

  25. BRANDEN D. No words can describe what kind of a young hard-working wonderful guy you were. We are all truly gunna miss you so so much. Even though I didn't see you as often as I would've wanted to, I cherish the moments that we had together. You were the sun to our rainy days. May you R.I.P sweet angel and we will meet again sooner or later<3 love ya B.

  26. For those who would like to pay respects to Branden and his family, instead of continue to talk crap through the internet:

The Wake (viewing) will be Tonight at 8pm at St. Peter's Hall

Funeral Mass, followed by the burial will begin at 10am Tomorrow morning at St. Peter's Cathedral

Because of how much Branden was truly loved and respected both days will be filled with many whose lives were impacted by him. Please carpool and plan to come early to find parking.

My heart goes out to the Dallo family and hopes that this misfortune will teach all young drivers (and older ones) will learn that driving safe is extremely important! I know that Branden would want everyone to learn from this tragedy!

Rest in Peace Branden! We all love and miss you!

  29. What a shame that a young life was lost by alcohol. Knowing what this family already knew with Johnny, they should have placed Branden in a limo with a driver so that he would still be here. One bad experience is enough and the loss is great no matter who is gone. This young man or the young mother, Both sad.

I am still in shock over the amount of hate being posted on this site. Now that these low life's bloggers have our attention, we truly see the how disgusting they are. Pray for the hate to stop and for Brandens soul in purgatory.

  31. B everyone loves and and misses you so much already! I am so happy that I had the honor of getting to know you. It is so unfair that you were taken from us so young. As far as anyone who post something negative it is really sad, you obviously did not know Branden at all because if you did you would hate yourself for what you are saying. Everyone on this earth has made a mistake, unfortunately this one took Branden's life. It in NO way defines the type of person he was. B our world is not the same with out you but we will all see you again someday. xoxo

  32. you idiots you dont know anything about his family, and how much they cared/ and taught their kids, but like you guys are perfect, do you always listen to your parents? dont bring in the family, when you dont even know anything about them. God wanted him that day, it was his day, may he rest in peace, he was a great person, and loved everyone and never hurt anyone.

  33. Branden I'm so glad I got to see you one last time before you went to be with god and experience what an amazing person you've grown up to be... My heart is with you and your family as you watch down on us and still shine your light. xo

  34. Posting negative comments either way is not doing anyone any good ,and will certainly not bring Branden back. I know everyone loved him but we must learn from this terrible accident, it happens way too much in our community.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Indeed this was a very tragic accident, and a family has lost a loved one. It's tragic as well that this family did not learn the lessons of just how quickly a life can be taken when someone is careless behind the wheel of a vehicle, until now.
I hope that this family, after EVERYTHING that has happened now (one son taking a life and one loosing his own life), use this to teach people the dangers of driving while impaired and reckless driving.
My condolences are extended to the Dallo family, may your son rest in peace.

  36. After reading all these comments about his brother Johnny let me tell you all here and now alcohol had nothing to do with Johnny, just speeding through jamul an unfortunate accident

    ReplyDelete
  37. I am sure that makes the victim feel a lot better! He killed an innocent lady trying to do her job.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Speeding through Jamul is still considered reckless driving; so, like many have said before, awareness needs to be raised for both reckless driving and alcohol related driving (which falls under the category of reckless driving). Don't let these lost lives go to waste; it is tragic, but use them as an example to prevent further tradgedy.

  39. All you heartless scums, you have no idea the person Branden Dallo was. If there was a model family man it was him, he really demonstrated how life should be lived. He worked his ass off, when he really didnt need to move a finger. He was very generous with anyone that he came across. If you knew him you would realize what kind off loss the world took just because of a stupid turn ... you jamulians should worry about putting a rail around your roads before another one of your ppl drive off the road !!!!

  43. He wasn't drunk. That road is dangerous, and something needs to be done about it. Too many lives have been lost on this street. So tragic. Poor Branden. Too young to go. He had everything to live for. This shouldn't happen again. RIP

  44. branden was my cousin, its unfortunate that people could say so much nasty things about him, his brother johnny, and the whole family in general. close your eyes and think if that was your loved one? branden had a "higher calling", so pray for him and the family because we were all blessed to have a person like branden. i love you B and remember cousin marv has your back, we will see each other one day

  45. May God bless his family-- especially his mother. My heart breaks for what they must be going through. God, give them the strength to continue living. RIP Branden. PS: maybe he wasnt drunk? That road is terribly dangerous. Something should be done about it.

  47. So much hate in these posts, didn't any of you learn anything from Branden all of you should be ashamed of yourselves. R.I.P Branden.

  48. Many of you people with nasty comments about this incident ought to turn your anger, frustration or whatever the hell's bugging you to a more fruitful outcome from this tragedy. You ought to educate the Chaldean youth about the good things America has to offer ... namely education, community involvement/service, assist the unfortunate and needy Chaldean/Iraqi/American families with jobs, counceling and other important and life saving services. Our community, sad to say, has no decent leader to turn to. Any candidate for this austere and noble position is busy trampling on others trying to make, or steal a fast buck ... no exceptions.

We want all members of our community to excell in all facets of their new life in America. No decent human being will not feel for a family ... any family, rich or poor for losing a young member, and the Dallous are no exception. They certainly did not ask for this.

I assume most of you are Branden's age (I can tell from the many spelling mistakes you have in your responses). We do not know what kind of hand life will deal us tomorrow. So remember ... what goes around comes around.

I call upon all our youth to band together and get involved with all our families, the old and the newcomers, who certainly need your help, guidance and dirction. You can do it through our church(s) or start your own fraternity, club, or organization with clean, honorable and honest agenda to improve our community ... they sure need a lot of help in all facets of their everyday life here in their new home.

It's about time someone spoke out about the state of our affairs. I believe in our youth, and call on them to organize and design their own future. Most of your parents are not educated and live in yesteryears. You should help them improve their thinking and eventually their's and your lives. Families with awesome means can do a lot of good for the community, instead you see most of them try to show off by their flashy cars, huge homes and what have you... stupid material things; or donating here and there for the sake of having their name mentioned as a donor to this and that ... all a show off. They all forget that our most important investment is our youth, our future Chaldean/Iraqi/American leaders. We have an obligation to improve our image to governmental agencies in the communities we live in, unlike the present , where government leaders have a low opinion or negative image about our community. WE CAN BE A POWER HOUSE TO RECKON WITH. I want to see how many responses/ideas/actions I will get to this blog. Thank you.

  50. Unfortunate and tragic...21 and a Porsche...must be all that Dallo money. With regard to his brother's "slap on the wrist sentence" all of San Diego should boycott the Dallo businesses, Harvest Ranch (Millionare), Jonathon's (La Jolla) and others. What have they ever given back or contributed to the local community??

    ReplyDelete
  51. So what if he was 21 with a Porsche? He worked his ass off, so why not reward himself with a good car. You obviously know nothing about him. After his passing, so many random people came into his work and came to his family's home telling them stories about how amazing he was, how much he helped the less fortunate, the less popular kids who were picked on by others, and all these amazing stories about what an angel he truly was. He ALWAYS used his money for good and to help others, and its disgusting that people like you who know nothing about the kind of person he was, are so quick to judge and want to "boycott" his family's businesses. All you can do is bring Johnny's tragic situation into this. They are two completely different stories, so don't compare them. Instead of criticizing others and thinking of ways to make the family suffer more then they already have, why don't you go take a good look in the mirror and see how much of a "saint" you really are. Don't judge or wish hate upon others, it will get you nowhere in life. RIP Branden, Heaven is lucky to have you.

  53. I never heard of this...not until looking up another incident that happened in Jamul just on the 23rd of this month...when I tried to look up a new incident, I found that Branden was gone. I didn't know him too well, but I went to school with him up until 8th grade, since he didn't go to the same high school as me but he was always one of the sweet guys. I got made fun of a lot when I was younger and he would always be the nice one even though it would be his friends doing the jokes. through the years I have actually tried to look for him on facebook (but my dumbass spelled his name Brandon opps haha).

I had to stop reading people's comments because of the lack in sensitivity some of these asses have. I looked up his brother, due to some of the comments and I don't care if both were in crashes that led to a death. They were both human and both deserve forgiveness. Johnny is living with the guilt of killing an innocent woman, GET OVER IT. He sure as hell can't and that is a hard thing to cope with and live on through, outward appearances really aren't shit. we can all speculate but we don't really know anything unless we really know them, and I am more than sure more than half of you insensitive jerks DON'T.

As for Branden, he killed himself, and whether or not there was alcohol does not matter because from what I read he has not changed since I've known him. He was loving and caring and a joy to know and come in contact with. His friends and families are mourning still for the loss of him and will always, but again, the insensitive jerks on here don't seem to think that is important. He made a mistake, as MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD DO, he lost control, and he took his own life. I don't know the girl personally, but she's best friends with my best friend and she does not blame him or regret knowing him or anything of the sort. She can only speak highly of him and it kills her to have lost such a person. and she was in the car with him that morning, you weren't, so why be cruel and think you know what you are talking about when you don't?

Branden...I didn't get to keep on knowing you, but I knew you once and I still miss you from them. I'm sorry you left us but you know you touched so many people's hearts when you were here and you will always be loved and remembered. RIP
